Red-tailed hawk released for the Toronto Wildlife Centre. July 5, 2014

On July 5, 2014 I was asked by Toronto Wildlife Centre to release a red-tailed hawk back to his home.  Helena came with me to do the release.  Thanks to parking officers who allowed me to park my car  in a safe spot and then release the hawk back to his home.  What a joy it was to see the hawk fly out of the box and then go to into the trees nearby.  He did a bit of screaming to let everyone know he was back home.  Thank you TWC for helping this juvenile red-tailed hawk return to the wild.

Where he landed and he let everyone know he was there.
Plus the robins and orioles ere attacking him trying to get him away from their territory.

My favourite shot of the release

See the brown tail.  Juvenile red-tailed hawks have a brown tail. Only adults have the beautiful red tail.

Good luck little one.
